SS-1 / SS-4 - Terra Alta

General description:
A long stage, very difficult to describe for co-drivers, and difficulties get more and more as you travel along the route. 16 km on gravel, then 6 on asphalt, 1.5 on gravel, 2 on asphalt and finally 10 on gravel and 400m on asphalt. In general terms, it is a stage with continuous bends, medium speed as well as fast, in light descent. The combination of surfaces will make it necessary to travel just as many metres as necessary on asphalt and keep the line without destroying the tyres. Tyres do also have to stand the braking in the descents. The last 10 kilometres have continuous bends and you won’t be sure about your tyres. The split times will help controlling the pace along the 36 km. This stage is especially demanding for co-drivers and tyres.
